IT
KS3
IT and computing are taught through an interactive platform called Code Avengers, which supports the development of coding, computer science and digital skills.
Students learn coding languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python while developing knowledge of online safety and responsible technology use.
Learning is adapted to support SEMH needs, allowing students to work on desktops or laptops depending on their sensory preferences. Step-by-step guidance and instant feedback help build confidence and independence.
KS4
At Key Stage 4 students complete NCFE Digital Functional Skills. Learning focuses on practical digital skills using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Students develop confidence in communication, organisation and digital problem-solving, preparing them for employment and everyday digital tasks.
The course supports progression into further education, apprenticeships and careers in areas such as IT support, data analysis and software development.
